Work Experience at Interlink Talent Solutions
It has been a pleasure to have Nick, Max, John, Tanush and Zaid in our offices for the past week.
They have not only been incredibly efficient and professional, but also great fun and a brilliant reflection of their school. We wish them all the best in their studies and I'm sure we will keep in touch throughout their careers.
Here are some of their comments about their experience, including the skills they have developed over their time here.

My time this week at Interlink has been both enriching and entertaining, which I assume is more than most work experience students can say after they spend a week as a barista (that is barista as in running coffee to employees, rather than 'barrister'). Our experience was much more engaging, with several tasks set throughout each day to provide us with an insight into each individual area of the organisation. This ranged from mapping job vacancies to performing mock calls with clients, of which I would mention we were informed they were real clients. This led to a few hiccups along the way, but the exercise was invaluable in helping us to develop interpersonal skills.
Perhaps my greatest takeaway from this week (I’m talking about skills, here, not the food), was learning how to make my LinkedIn and CV more desirable to employers. I chose work experience in order to gain a more refined view of the professional environment and picking up skills such as these, I think, will be a great advantage in the future. (The food was also good.) For all of this, I would like to say a massive thanks to all the team at Interlink for making us feel so at home and giving us a truly fulfilling time.

My week at Interlink was far more than I could've ever imagined. From extravagant meals, client roleplay and a legal tour of Manchester I have had a wide range of experiences. The highlight of the week by far though has been meeting the people of Interlink. Aziz, Noah, Matthew, Will, George, Domy and Tom have helped us throughout the week and given us all a different perspective on business and life. I also have to give thanks to Lucy for her help on building our LinkedIn profiles. A big shout out must also go to Daniel and Louis for providing their insight into running a business and inspiring us to do great things. Overall, this experience has enriched my life and will stick with me for a long time.

I thoroughly enjoyed my week of work experience at Interlink. One of the highlights, aside from the hospitality shown to us, was the opportunity to develop our interpersonal skills as well as those in communication and marketing through multiple tasks, such as our ‘candidate’ calls, our template writing and mapping the market. Through these, we were able to understand the inner workings of the business. One of the focal points was meeting the people who work at Interlink, who were overwhelmingly welcoming and always open to answer any questions to help. I think one of the best features of Interlink is the familial feel to the company, with everyone being incredibly friendly, with us being almost immediately able to joke around with them.

During my work experience at Interlink, we obtained an insight into professional life and were able to experience the work culture at an office, by observing how the team worked together. We worked with the Regional Team to work on client calls, which was a great experience as we could develop our communication skills. We were able to understand how to use LinkedIn and how it is used by the various teams at Interlink.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Interlink Talent Solutions. I gained an understanding of how a business operates from the inside and acquired skills in admin, sales and business development. Overall, I feel like this experience really gave me an insight into office life as well as greater interpersonal skills than I previously had.
We look forward to welcoming you back over the summer to further your careers with us at Interlink!
